MCE and Imperial Electric Introduce Same Day Product Availability for Hydraulic Elevator Customers in Southern California
Hydraulic controllers and submersible motors to be stocked in convenient Los Angeles-area warehouse

Motion Control Engineering (MCE) and Imperial Electric, market leading elevator companies and members of the Kinetek group of companies, have announced plans to stock hydraulic elevator products in the Los Angeles area to better serve customers in the region.
The initiative is intended to provide elevator contractors with a ready supply of submersible motors and hydraulic controllers available for immediate pick up—after placing orders through traditional Imperial and MCE sales channels.
Gary Ward, Imperial Electric’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, underscores the benefits of same day availability. “Elevator contractors have long benefited from the quality, performance and reliability of Imperial and MCE products, but in today’s competitive marketplace, they need to be even more responsive to their building owner customers. We believe that same day availability of submersible motors and controllers will give them the competitive advantage they require.”
The opportunity to jointly serve MCE and Imperial Electric customers was a significant factor in developing the west coast warehouse initiative, according to Kenneth Munson, MCE’s Vice President of Business Development & Marketing. “As Kinetek companies, we look for opportunities to work together to enhance the experience of customers we share. Imperial and MCE have partnered with Pacific Elevator Logistics to provide this same day pick up service. Pacific Elevator Logistics, open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, is centrally located at 2900 South Vail Avenue in the city of Commerce—near the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5) and Garfield Avenue.
Imperial Electric’s complete line of submersible motors—from 15 to 50HP and in all voltages—is now available at the Commerce facility, while MCE’s hydraulic controllers and SmartStart Solid State Starters will be stocked and available as of March 1.
