MCE Personnel Changes Emphasize Commitment to Northeast
and New York City Regions
Rancho Cordova, CA
(April 20, 2007)
Motion Control Engineering, the industry’s leading manufacturer of non-proprietary elevator controls, and member of the Kinetek group of companies, has announced Greg Houghton’s appointment to Regional Sales Manager for MCE’s Northeast region and New York City. In his new role, Houghton is responsible for MCE sales activity from Maryland to Maine.
Houghton has over 15 years of professional sales experience with a proven track record in technical sales and partner management — most recently as sales representative for MCE’s Northeast region. “With Greg continuing to build partnerships in New York City and the Northeast region we are in position to further strengthen the long term relationships that have made us the industry’s leading manufacturer of non-proprietary elevator controls.” said Ashur Kanon, MCE Senior Vice President.
Kanon added, “Greg’s expertise in managing complex sales channels and developing channel programs has empowered our partners to put the full weight of MCE behind their business and benefit their bottom line.” Houghton reports to Kanon, and will work in tandem with Frank Marchese, who continues in his role as General Manager for New York City.
Houghton’s sales team includes MCE veteran, Bette Hanson. After successfully serving as New York City Sales Representative for the past five years, Hanson has been elevated to Strategic Accounts Manager, focusing on New York City’s large volume customer base. “This position will provide needed focus and attention to the unique challenges of our large New York City partners,” stated Houghton. “Bette has an outstanding record in New York City. She understands the market, and is the perfect fit to assist our partners in maximizing their relationships with MCE.”
“MCE continues to grow in units and in revenue. This is a direct result of our partner community’s commitment to MCE and our solutions,” stated Houghton. He added, “It is because of this continued commitment, that we are directing resources to our New York City partners. This is a top priority and represents a further step to ensure that our partners are taking full advantage of the tremendous benefits MCE and Kinetek have to offer.”
