Draka Elevator Products to Distribute MCE’s SmarTraq Door Operator

Draka Elevator Products of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Motion
Control Engineering (MCE) of Rancho Cordova, California have announced a joint distribution partnership to benefit elevator professionals in North America.
Beginning July 1, Draka EP will stock MCE's SmarTraq Limitless Closed-Loop Door Operator parts through their North American distribution network that services the elevator industry.
Sterrett Lloyd, General Manager of Draka Elevator Products, was upbeat about the partnership: ”These are exciting times at Draka. We can now stock and distribute MCE's products as part of the Draka product family. We expect SmarTraq to be just the first of a wide range of MCE products that we will distribute.”
MCE introduced SmarTraq in 2003 with great market success. An advanced solution that ensures smooth, quiet, reliable and safe operation of elevator doors—SmarTraq upgrade kits for existing operators are designed to cut door modernization labor dramatically.
According to Lloyd, the goal of the Draka/MCE strategic partnership is to “allow the elevator industry to obtain these modernization and service products from an elevator-specific distribution network at locations closer to their local markets.”
