Tricon by MCE

Non-proprietary controller for low- and mid-rise traction applications

Tricon by MCE is a state of the art, distributed control system, designed for geared applications with AC flux vector motors that serve up to 32 single or double openings, with cars traveling up to 300 fpm.

Superior Performance and Reduced Costs

Tricon provides superior performance and reduced installation and maintenance costs. Decentralized network design with multiple microprocessors ensures a higher level of reliability and compatibility with future system improvements and expansions.

Printed circuit boards pull out and snap in for quick and easy replacement. System components can be located in the machine room or remotely in any location. Printed circuit boards are interchangeable without requiring field wiring, jumpers, or switches to be set to aid in servicing. Harnesses are used extensively to reduce wiring problems.

Field Programmable

Field programmability via the HHU (handheld unit) allows you to meet changing occupancy needs and management requirements. More than 200 programmable options allow you to customize the system onsite.

Modular software design allows sub-system modules to be plugged in and out to customize the controller to specific requirements. Features and capabilities can be added at a later date by reprogramming the system, avoiding expensive field wiring costs.

Features

  • HHU portable diagnostic monitor fits in the palm of your hand and plugs in anywhere on the car or group network. No secret "Black Box," complicated codes, or separate PCs are required.
  • Monitoring screen displays all inputs and outputs, as well as other important information, in real time, for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Diagnostic screens display the last fifty events in plain English. Providing a window to the entire system, this allows for rapid service and far less downtime.
  • Two-wire hookup to peripheral equipment dramatically reduces installation time and costs.
  • Unique pre-wired cartop and car station factory option saves considerable field installation time.

Code Compliance: ANSI/ASME A17.1a -2002, A17.5, CAN/CSA B44, B44.1, NEC, CEC
