Technical Bulletin IMC-SCR Controllers - Intermittent Shutdown PotentialTake action during your next visitDate June 16, 1997 Reference 106 Route to Service Manager From MCE Technical Support Manager Description Some customers have reported intermittent shutdowns accompanied by event calendar messages, "M-Contactor Redundancy Failure" or "No Response for Run Request" that have been traced to the M-contactor.
In order to eliminate these nuisance messages, and increase reliability of M-contactor auxiliary contacts, we have evolved the IMC-SCR design to include a pair of RC (resistor-capacitor) network assemblies. Action Examine all IMC-SCR controllers to VERIFY that each is equipped with two RC network assemblies, per the enclosed wiring diagrams.
If not, follow the retrofit instructions attached and install two RC network assemblies per controller.
