Description

Some installations may experience an unacceptable level of vibration during acceleration or slowdown, particularly when the drive system is drawing high current. Affected are Baldor AC Drive model numbers ZD18H * * * L-ER/MR/EO drives with serial numbers as follows:

5097 * * * * * through 2299 * * * * *
*971222 * * * * through *990607 * * * *

Action

If you have a system exhibiting a vibration problem with these characteristics, and the adjustment procedures outlined in the manual are unsuccessful, you may require a replacement Baldor control board.

Telephone MCE Technical Support. They will guide you through a brief alternate adjustment procedure that will confirm the need for a control board replacement. If a board is required, MCE will expedite direct shipment from Baldor per their Product Bulletin # 099-002.
