"All Systems Go" with Elevator Packaging Division's NASA Huntsville Project
MCE’s Elevator Packaging Division (EPD) recently completed a high profile project at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This is one of the first projects to be completed by MCE’s Elevator Packages Division, and the reviews are great. “This is one of the best riding (smooth) elevators I have ridden in,” quoted a 45-year veteran of the elevator industry! MCE Offers Discount Parts Pricing Through April 30, 2009
MCE has extended our special discount parts pricing through April 30, 2009!
The parts discount promotion is valid on all components and drives manufactured by MCE. This is just one way for us to recognize our loyal customers, and provide extra support for their business efforts through the first part of this year. The discount pricing offer is tiered so customers who place larger orders will receive a higher discount, and they can use the discount code repeatedly until April 30, 2009.
The discount levels are as follows:
- $0 to $1,500 order — 10% off
- $1,501 to $5,000 order — 15% off
- $5,001 to $15,000 order — 20% off
- $15,001 and above — 25% off
To take advantage of the discount pricing, the discount code MPD09 must accompany an order. The program is valid from January 2, 2009 for orders placed and shipped from MCE through April 30, 2009. Discount pricing is not valid on purchases pre-dating this offer and cannot be applied with any other discounts.
For questions, or to place an order, please contact MCE’s technical support group at 916-463-9200 or email parts@mceinc.com.

Major League Controllers!

With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ recent victory in the Super Bowl, we thought it appropriate to take a look at MCE’s place in the sporting world. Since our founding, many professional sports stadiums and arenas have chosen to install our non-proprietary elevator and escalator controllers.
Let’s start with the World Champion Steelers: Heinz Field, home to the Steelers, is a uniquely designed stadium. To pay homage to the labor workers of Pittsburgh, it was constructed with 12,000 tons of steel, glass and stone, but more importantly to us – MCE controllers. Built at a total cost of $281 million, the first football game was played in the new stadium in September 2001. With more than 65,000 people attending every home game, that’s a lot of potential elevator rides!
In addition to the Steelers, MCE has other long standing relationships with professional sport stadiums and arenas throughout the US and Canada. Following is a short list of sport stadiums and arenas with MCE controllers:
- Busch Stadium (St. Louis, Missouri)
Home to the St. Louis Cardinals
- Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia)
Home to the Philadelphia Phillies
- Madison Square Garden (New York City)
Home to the NY Rangers, Knicks, and Liberty
- Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles)
Home to the Los Angeles Dodgers
- Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City, Missouri)
Home to the Kansas City Royals
- Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City, Missouri)
Home to the Kansas City Chiefs
- Petco Park (San Diego)
Home to the San Diego Padres
- Toyota Center (Houston)
Home to the Houston Rockets
- Fenway Park (Boston)
Home to the Boston Red Sox
- Texas Stadium (Dallas)
Home to the Dallas Cowboys
- Hubert H. Humphrey “Metrodome” (Minneapolis)
Home to the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves
- Ford Field (Detroit)
Home to the Detroit Lions
- Future installation - MCE controllers will be installed at the Vancouver Olympic Village (18 cars), home to the Olympic athletes for the 2010 Winter Games
